and
Co-funded by the European Union

Project summary
The
World Health Organisation (WHO) recognises the critical role of digital health in achieving universal health coverage and improving healthcare efficiency, accessibility, and effectiveness. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted disparities in countries' and regions' ability to digitally transform their healthcare systems. Without addressing inequalities in access and use of digital technology, these disparities may grow.
Healthcare 5.0, driven by Industry 5.0, uses advanced technologies to transform healthcare delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and improve the overall healthcare experience.
Interreg Europe funded
HUMAN project empowers regions to adopt
Healthcare 5.0 policies, harnessing technology towards
inclusive, affordable, and human-centred healthcare.
What will this project change
HUMAN project's overall objective is the provision of more affordable, accessible, equitable and resilient healthcare services through the introduction of
Healthcare 5.0 solutions resulting from
improved policy instruments in 10 European regions.
This brings implicit the following sub-objectives:
1.	Build the capacity of regional policymakers and other stakeholders to harness the potential that Healthcare 5.0 has towards a more user-centric, sustainable and resilient healthcare delivery.
2.	Bridge the gap towards a more universal healthcare services by equipping professionals, patients and users with the required digital tools and skills to make the most of these solutions.
3.	Enhance the patient and user’s experience by adopting a human-centric approach for digital technologies that support improved and more sustainable healthcare services.
